Dear Lori,

I receive your magazine and really enjoy the articles about local people and businesses. A possible future article for you: Sheri Stephens of Ponchatoula decided to try and sell some magnetic ribbons in support of our troops and send care packages to our soldiers overseas. She began this quest last July and has formed Operation We Care to support local families and to raise awareness and support for our troops. This local organization has mailed hundreds of packages and cards and held troop rallies for our returning soldiers. The motto is the war is not over until all our men and women come home.

The official web site is www.OperationWeCare.com. My son has been in Kuwait since August and the local support from this group has been such a tremendous help and inspiration. You probably have many readers who have family and friends that could benefit from this organization and would like to know about it. Thank you for your consideration.
