| During National Business Women’s Week in October, the West St. Tammany Business and Professional Women’s organization will host a banquet honoring the professional, personal and political achievements of businesswomen in our community. They’d like to hear from you if there is a candidate you think should be honored as “Woman of the Year.” Call 796-5790 for nomination information – or to get tickets for the October 23rd event. Speaking of noteworthy women, in this issue Stacy Rase tells the story of the team effort organized on behalf of Habitat for Humanity by Maura Donahue, chair of the 2003 Women’s Build committee. And Jennifer Rice, a board member of the recently formed St. Tammany Hospital Foundation, is profiled this issue. We are bringing our own little “road show” to the magazine with the introduction of Pennie Carr’s new department, “What’s it worth?” She will research lineage and value of antique pieces submitted by readers for consideration. Send us a picture of your great-grandmother’s table – you might find your treasure highlighted in a future issue! For my fellow Tiger fans out there, we’ve got a schedule and some highlights on page 99. See you in Arizona! Enjoy the twilight of summer! Lori
