Margaret Hawkins

Margaret Hawkins’ association with Inside Northside dates back to 1996. Since then, she has frequently written about and photographed Ponchatoula, Hammond and the northshore in general, focusing primarily on the arts, artists, festivals and area development. A professional photographer with her own studio, Margaret was elected to the Ponchatoula City Council in 2000.

 

Erica Spindler

Catching a summer cold changed Erica Spindler’s life forever. While stuck at home, she read a silhouette romance, got hooked – and then decided to write one herself. Since then, she has published twenty best-selling novels, mostly mysteries.

Erica and her husband first came to New Orleans to see the King Tut exhibit. They fell head-over-heels in love with the city, and now live in Mandeville with their two sons.
