In honor of Father’s Day, allow me to introduce the newest member of the Inside Northside family. Art Director Brad Growden and his wife, Marie, have a brand new baby girl, Bethany Elaine. She’s beautiful, with the cutest nose you’ve ever seen!
There is something special about father-daughter relationships. My father remains one of the most important influences in my life, though he died 20 years ago. He made me proud and confident, inquisitive and happy. My memories of him are vivid, and I often think, “What would Daddy say?” I know Brad will give the same gifts to Bethany.
Contributor Kim LaMarca shares special memories of times with her father in “The B Joyful,” page 44. There is also a look at the fatherhood of a new generation on page 97. I hope you see yourselves or your fathers in these heartwarming stories.
We’ve also included beautiful designs for outdoor living. From sleeping porches to sensual spas, northshore homeowners have expanded their living spaces into the great outdoors. The results are warm and welcoming.
As we head into the hot summer months, take time to splash in a pool, swim a few laps, paddle a canoe, laugh with your friends, spend time with your family and enjoy your children. These are the cherished memories of the future.
